The Joy of Laughter

I've always been told that children are the greatest thing to happen to a person. Next to meeting Colt I would have to agree. We have had a very busy week, Colt was at his friends wedding in North Carolina and I was spending time with family. Wednesday I was at my moms having "Girls Day" and we were sitting after dinner and watching Emma play. I picked her up and she began squealing at Sabrina. In turn Sabrina began making noises at Emma. The result was the best noise I have ever heard. Emma Began laughing full out at Sabrina. After a good 20 minutes of this everyones eyes were wet with tears of laughter. It is absolutely amazing to hear your child enjoy her family. We were having so much fun and I couldn't wait to get home and share it with Daddy. He arrived home after class and Emma had just finished her bedtime bottle so she was still happy. I told him of the most recent event and asked him to try. At first she just smiled and cooed at him. He held her so I could fix him something to eat and to my utter delight Emma began to laugh at her dad. He was bouncing her on his knee and making funny sounds and she loved it. This time as I was watching the two most important people in my life bond, the tears were joyful and proud. I can see in his big blue eyes how much he loves that tiny little girl he helped create.
