My dear hubby has been in California for the past 2 weeks for training with his job. I got to go out and visit him over the weekend. I landed in San Fransisco at 6 and Deborah and I rode BART to Pleasanton, if you aren't sure what BART is that is the train/subway. The train ride wasn't too bad. It is really noisy when you are underground but other than that it was uneventful. when we finally got off at our destination I saw the hottest man in the whole world smiling at me: My Colt. I had missed him so much I couldn't wait to get his arms around me. I put my ticket in the machine eager to get out of the gate and it flashed UNDER PAID in red at me so I had to return to the money taker and find $2.65 so I could see my hubby. Geez that was annoying. Finally paid in full and through the gate I gave my hubby a big hug and a much needed kiss. We enjoyed dinner at Red Robin and made plans for Saturday and went to bed.
Saturday we drove to San Francisco with the help of our trusty Hertz "Never-Lost" and arrived at Fishermans Warf with no major incidents thankfully. After parking our car we proceeded to the nearest restroom which happened to be down the street and around the corner. Nearing the middle of the block I was looking at the map and suddenly I hear a terrifying "AAHHRR!!" After I picked up my heart because it jumped from my chest I saw a raggedy old homeless man holding a couple of tree branches laughing his head off and asking me to pay him for my "thrill". Later that day Colt said someone warned him about the so called 'Bush Man' and I swatted him on the arm.
We went to the Aquarium of the Bay and saw sharks and probably one of the biggest fishes I've ever seen, seriously it was as big as a SMART CAR. Lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe was really good especially cuz i had a PEPSI in a cool souvenir cup. We walked for miles hand in hand and loved spending time at Ghiradelli square sampling yummy chocolate. The day was perfect with clear skies and a nice breeze to keep us cool in the 62 degree weather. We took lots of pictures but I decided to only share my two favorites.
Sunday was full of tears for both of us as I packed knowing that it would be another 5 days till we would be holding each other again. I made it home and I am so excited for his return tomorrow night. See you soon hubby!!

You got to see the bush man! Lucky! He's one of the best parts of San Fran! As well as Ghiradelli Square with the chocolate. MMMM.
Good thing you made it through to give him a kiss! Sounds like a fun trip! I haven't been to San Francisco in SO long! Did he get a new job?
I hate being away from my husband for even the 8 hours we are at work. Jonny lived in Arizona for 3 months of our dating/engagement. I hated it. Glad you got to see your man.
I just about peed my pants when you told us abou tthe "bush man!" Ha! Scary at the time, but so funny for story telling purposes!
