Emma has established quite the vocabulary and has begun putting small sentences together, most
include the words 'I do it' and 'mine' but she is quite the jibber jabber. A few weeks ago we were at a store browsing through clearance clothes when I held up a shirt that said birthday girl on it. I asked her what it said as I held it up and she politely said "um, W X Y Z" and smiled at me. I couldn't help but giggle as well as the store employee that heard her a few racks over. More recently we went to Walmart with my sister Sabrina and as we walked in she exclaimed loudly "Oh My Goodness Brina Look, TOYS!" It was so stinking cute. She got a kitchen from Santa and it came with some dishes and a few utensils including a fork and spoon. Some of you may know that her Favorite movie is
Our recent venture was to begin potty training. I brought out Emma's potty and set it in on her bathroom floor. for a few days she would go in and sit on in while fully clothed. Once in a while I would ask her if she wanted to go without a diaper. One night I was getting her ready for bed and changing her bum and I said run in and go potty before we put on your diaper. She went in, sat on the potty and much to my surprise she actually peed. I was so excited I think I scared her with my cheers. We quickly diapered her and called both her grandma's to tell them the exciting news. A few days later we went to see my parents and Gramma had a present for her, two packages of big girl panties. I took her into the bathroom to try so she could put on her Cinderella ones and she tinkled a little. More cheers and she was running into the living room wearing cute little panties on her tiny bum. Within less than 10 minutes she had peed in 2 pairs of panties and her jeans soaking her socks clear through. She had to go home wearing a borrowed small diaper and a blanket around her legs. Now she whines when I ask her if she wants to go potty. Needless to say the panties have been washed and put into the drawer to try another time.

Potty training is NOT something I'm looking forward to. Sigh...makes me exhausted just to think about it!
