Four and full of it!

Look at this girl, what a ham!

Emma turned 4 last week. It was such an emotional week for me. I can't believe how much she has matured and grown as a person. Last year as we were getting ready for her third birthday I was a huge wreck having to leave Katelyn at the hospital. Emma was such a lifeline for me, helping me get back to my role as her mother and a wife. She has definitely become a big girl and her vocabulary is amazing. She uses big words in the correct context and she is oh so dramatic. Emma loves Katelyn so much and is always helping me with therapy and she loves that Katie responds to her now. When I decided to let her have a birthday party with friends this year I let her pick the theme. At first she wanted a bubblegum party but I had a tough time finding things I could do make at home so I convinced her to do cupcakes instead. It was so fun to get things together and make them. I handmade invitations and a few decorations. I also decorated my first cake.

Tada!!

We had about 10 kids over for the afternoon. Emma loved playing with everyone and that they were all there because they are her friend. Thank goodness we live in a great place where there are so many kids her age.

Decorations and birthday girl.

She got a cute talking vanity from Colt and I. Everyone loved playing with it, even Tyson.

We played put the candle on the cupcake and candy BINGO. They ate cupcakes and drank sprite.

Emma was so polite and thanked everyone for the gifts they brought for her.I am so grateful for aunt Gail, Jessica's mom. She was a huge help taking pictures and keeping everyone corralled downstairs. The kids were all well behaved and so cute playing together. There were no spills and no fighting. A huge accomplishment if you ask me.

All partied out.

Once everyone left and we had some dinner Emma crashed. She was so tired. It didn't help that she was getting a cold and had a fever the night before. She had a great birthday. I have toys scattered around my living room still and there is left over birthday cake  in the kitchen. Best day ever. I love her!
