A Year in Pictures

This is how my sweet Katelyn entered the world a year ago.

1lb 6oz 12 inches long and fragile as could be.

One month later she decided it was time to come off the ventilator. 

By Easter she had finally reached 3 pounds.

She met her big sister on her 3 month birthday.

On May 29th she got to come home to her family weighing 5lbs 5oz.

4 months old and finally 7 pounds. 

 At 5months old she had a full summer of camping and Bear Lake.

6 months old and sleeping all night thank goodness.  

September she grew to 10 pounds. 

In October she met two cousins who were also preemies, 

Jada on the left and Leena in the middle.

November was busy, she got her corrective helmet for her flat head.

She also had surgery to fix her tethered cord. 

 December started rough with a 10 day stay at Primary Children's for pneumonia.

It ended with lots of smiles! 

 January, her 11 month birthday and she is 17 pounds. 

That little bunny was once the same size as Katelyn.

 

I just love those beautiful blue eyes! 

Here she is today. One year after her surprise entrance into my world.

There was a time when I thought we wouldn't make it but we did. 

I am so thankful for you! 

I love you more than you will ever know!
