I can't believe how fast the summer came and went. We had a lot of firsts for Emma; first real food, X-ray, blood test; first time at the lake; the list is endless. Colt and I had a few firsts too. Most involve Emma but we had our share. Things for me have returned to life as usual. I returned to work out at the American Express building working for Pitney Bowes. I am working 5 hours a day three days a week scanning documents. I thought it would be tough at first but it feels good to earn money to support my scrapbooking and craft hobbies. Colt is doing so good at working making a name for himself as a reliable and honest employee. He makes me so proud. He is enduring his final semester at University of Utah and I miss him when he is in class but it will be well worth it in December when he earns his degree.
I finally began reading the Twilight books after finishing the wonderful and imaginative Fablehaven books. I loved them and if you haven't read any I suggest you borrow one. If you don't know what they are about all I can say it that you get caught up in a fantasy land with scary and funny creatures like fairies and saytrs and nymphs. I am really excited about the next due in the spring. Now Twilight, what the heck! I have only just finished the first but I admit I may be hooked.
Baby Emma has grown in bounds right before my eyes this last month. Her last doctor appointment went really well and she weighed in at 16 lbs and 26" long. She loves to sit like a big girl and takes everything in around her with amazement and wonder. She thinks she can stand up on her own but I have to stay close by. She may just skip the crawling stage but who knows. Since being watched by my mom she has grown fairly close to her and fusses when she leaves the room. Grandma JuJie (Julie) is looking forward to one on one time with her.
I just can't believe how lucky and blessed I am to have such a great hubby and a fun baby girl. It's true what they say about them growing too fast. It really was just yesterday when I brought her little body home. It's a good thing she likes to cuddle, I hope it stays that way.

I can't believe how big she is! I just finished the Twilight books, I'm sure it won't take you long to get through them, they're fun to read.
aw Emma is so cute! She makes my Baby Fever flare up.... We should get together again, we had so much fun last time!
My dad loves those fablehaven books. I don't like fantasy books, so I haven't been intersted in reading them. Maybe I should give them a try. Glad you and your family are doing well.
