It has been a long week for our family and it's only Wednesday. Sunday was nice because I got to sleep in and I didn't have to make dinner because we went to Springville. I enjoyed my evening with family. Monday started out pretty rough. Emma woke up at 6am and crawled in bed with me, She was a little warm and ended up crawling up on the floor next to my bed and sleeping for an hour. When I finally got her into my bed she nearly threw up all over the place, we barely made it to the bathroom. We layed on the couch and watched movies all day and after half a piece of toast and about a half-cup of yogurt she was her playful little self. If only the weather perked up that day.
Tuesday we woke up early so I could watch my cousins kids. Elaine is 5 and JR is 2. They are so cute. We played with every toy we had in the house. They were even good enough to lay on the floor for an hour and watch a movie. When the rain finally stopped we went to play outside and boy did they play, riding bikes, roller skating and playing baseball. After their dad picked them up Emma and I couldn't help but crash for a 2 hour nap. It was so nice.
Today was a bit more restful. Emma once again woke too early for my liking, 5am this time. When she crawled in my bed she was soaking wet, somehow her diaper leaked all over the place and made her cold. A change of jammies and stripping the bed and she fell asleep next to me for a few more hours. She has been a little extra whiny and clingy this week. I don't mind all the extra attention unless I'm trying to cook dinner or have time with my computer. She tells me she loves me all the time and wraps her little arms around my neck for big squeezes. Her little kisses get a bit slobbery at times but that makes them all the more sweet. Tonight she was sitting on the floor surrounded by her dishes and play food telling her babies to eat their broccoli and that she likes bananas and apples. I just love her personality. She has grown so much and she makes me laugh everyday. I am proud to be her mommy and I can't wait to see what kind of woman she becomes...maybe I can.
