It's Time Momma

First off, we found out we are having another girl. My appointment with the specialist went well and even though the baby was a little shy and enjoyed being curled in the corner of my uterus, everything looks great. The Dr explained that she suspected early in my pregnancy with Mini my placenta began to fail giving me preeclampsea. It sent my blood pressure up and failed to give Katelyn the nutrients she needed to grow. She requested I see her in 4 weeks and again close to 30 weeks as that's when I delivered Mini. She did caution that she doesn't want me to carry past 37 weeks because my last c-section incision was a lateral cut on my uterus. The bigger the baby gets the more risk there is that my uterus may tear. Sounds like we better get ready for a Halloween baby. Maybe our damn carpet will be repaired by then, long story for another post.

As for my precious Mini, I have come to a sad conclusion that I need to stop babying her. We will be welcoming a new baby in just about 4 months. I have to stop carrying Katie around and letting her get away  with such a bad attitude. She is making good progress as far as eating and sitting up and has easily transitioned to drinking whole milk. The area we are having issues with is her sitting nicely on the floor and playing all by herself. Her personality is already coming out as the bully. If she gets frustrated with Emma the first thing she does is reach up and pull a chunk of hair out. She has attempted to bite my shoulder a few times and she screams and kicks her feet when she doesn't like something. I admit I hold her a lot and I can't help it if I indulge in the midnight and 5am feeding where she lets me cuddle her and rock her to sleep. It has been tough for me to face the fact that she isn't a baby although she still looks like one. Most 17 month olds are becoming independent and running around the house letting their imaginations grow. Katie's body is keeping her from getting places. She hasn't learned to crawl and I worry that her legs will keep her from walking. We will be heading to Bear Lake this week and I am looking forward to relaxing and spending time with our family but I worry her true bully will come out and she'll be difficult.

Oh my sweet Emma. I can't wait to go swimming with her this week. I have neglected poor Emma at times and we don't get much alone time. I easily lose my patience and she gets really whiny. It's about time we get a proper routine and start getting  ready for school and baby 3. She is so mature and smart. She makes me laugh everyday and I love watching her play with her little princesses. It is tough for me to imagine her growing up and going to (gulp) school. I love my Emma and I am so excited to have mommy & Emma time
more often.

Bear comes home next week from Rush Lake Kennels He has made amazing progress. It will be so nice to have him home and well behaved! I hope we can keep up with the discipline that Don has worked so hard to give Bear. Check out their website Don and Julie are great trainers and they have done so much for Bear. I highly recommend them.

Well I am being screamed at by a cranky Mini upstairs. Man she can be so mean when she is ticked off.

Goodnight all. See you after Bear Lake. Happy 4th of July!

Another girl! Congratulations!

Mini's bullying is probably what's gotten her through. She's a tough cookie. ;)
