Family Pictures 2012
About a two weeks after Carly was born we got our family pictures taken. It had been almost 4 years since Colt and I had any professionally taken. I guess I am a bit critical of myself, I don't like the way I look. True I had a baby only a few weeks prior and I was all swollen and recovering from major surgery but anyway. I think everyone looks great and I love how our personalities are obvious, especially my Emma. The look of pure innocence on Katelyn's face takes my breath away. Colt is ever the proud daddy.
Gosh my girls are pretty. It took me almost 30 minutes to curl Emma's hair. Katie's hair is finally starting to grow although it is kind of a mohawk as the sides aren't growing much. I can put two tiny ponytails like little horns on the top, it's so cute.
I made these letters for Carly's room and I thought they would look great in a picture, I was right.
I made her little hairbow by hand and the pink blanket is the same we used for Katie's first pictures while she was in the NICU.
Another hairbow made by hand and a tiny baby in a huge blanket. We had so many foam pieces shoved around her to keep her from sinking to the bottom of the basket.
I love this picture. I bought a swaddle blanket just to take this and made a vintage inspired headband. I can't believe how much Carly looks like Emma. They have the same nose and cute perfect lips.

We had this one taken for Colt's Grandmother. Sadly it didn't make her Christmas Card like we hoped because I didn't get the disc in enough time. I like this one best because of how great Colt looks with his new baby in his arms. It will be so fun to look at this in a few years and see how much everyone has changed.
We had a great Christmas and I can't wait to get my house cleaned up and find new homes for all the barbies and princesses that Santa and family have given to the girls.
